Installation Note #1

Please make sure to un-install copies of any other remote support software on your PC prior to installing PROXY Pro. Doing so will eliminate the possibility of conflicts between the programs. In addition, if you install the PROXY Pro 30-day trial on the same machine as an earlier version of PROXY Pro, your installation will revert to a 30-day trial installation.

Installation Note #2

If you try to upgrade/install PROXY Pro Gateway 6.0 on a machine with PROXY Pro Host 5.10 or earlier running, there may be some contention for shared resources. Stop the PROXY Pro 5.10 Host service or upgrade the PROXY Pro 5.10 Host to PROXY Pro Host 6.0 first. Please consult the PROXY Pro 6.0 Readme file for more detailed instructions.

Security Note for PROXY Pro 6 Server Edition

This product provides strong security using Windows Authentication. The operating system security policy Network Access: Sharing and security model for local accounts must be set to "Classic" mode, not "Guest only" mode. This policy can be configured from the Control Panel in Administrative tools > Local Security Policy > Security Options. This product does not operate on Windows XP Home Edition, which does not support this policy.
